“Neram N’Dok” is a Bijagó expression which means “take it and keep it with you”. The film shows us the efforts of a local community from the Urok islands to create their own marine protected area to conserve their land and traditions for the future.

With a lot of effort and sheer will they manage to protect their local waters in a manner many developed countries should aspire to have as well.

Target audience: For people with an interest in Africa, nature conservation and tradition.
